A Forum for all Democrat Mayoral Candidates in Greenwood. The Primary election is Tuesday, May 3. The winner will face incumbant Mayor Harry Smith, who is running as a Republican. The General Election will be held June 7. All three Democrat candidates were invited, but Mrs. Sheriel F. Perkins declined to attend. The Forum consists of 20 minute speeches by the candidates, followed by a question/answer period. During the meeting, Mr. Neal announced that he has selected Henry Burden as his candidate for police chief should he be elected mayor. The Taxpayers Channel intends to host a forum for the two remaining candidates after the primary.
