Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board opened bids for engineering services on a block grant project. The Board heard a presentation from the Chamber of Commerce regarding support for the band festival. The Board finally approved the contract for the management of the county prison by CCA. A presentation from the county parks association was heard. A discussion was held regarding bids for emergency management vehicles. The Board heard a request to increase staffing at the Juvenile Detention Center. A Resolution honoring Rev. Charles E. Robinson was adopted.
