The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board decided not to close two roads in District One after it heard objections from landowners along the roads who use them daily going onto their farm properties. The Board discussed the budgetary woes of the Juvenile Detention Facility, where a key grant has expired but expenses continue to mount up.
