The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard a presentation from T. W. Cooper, the Emergency Management director, relating to homeland security agreements that needed to be authorized. Approval was given to pay two invoices relating to the new prison annex under construction. A discussion was held regarding the use of county owned vehicles outside Leflore County and the liability issues raised by doing so.
