Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board discussed the request by CCA to move the female county prisoners to a different facility while the county jail undergoes some improvements. The Board heard a proposal from Al Branson for the reconfiguration of the MDCIIC loan program. The Board voted to adopt the proposal, with Mr. Wolfe casting the lone dissenting vote. The Board took up the matter of proposals for telecommunications services for the county. A discussion of dangerous dogs and possible ordinances was held. The Board voted to dispose of the unclaimed body of Pablo Fernandez. The Board voted to lease a small portion of property from the Browning Civic League for use as a park.
