Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board held a public hearing on dilapidated property. Details relating to the auction of surplus equipment were disposed of. Two items relating to the Viking Dishwasher plant project were handled. Several Homeland Security grants were accepted, and a vehicle purchase approved. Additional juvenile detention officers were approved. Various Leflore County Airport Board resolutions were approved. A $48,000 piece of courtroom equipment ordered by Judge Sanders was approved. The closing of a portion of Road 540 was discussed.
