The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board opened bids for the sale of two old air handling units from the Civic Center. The Home Grant and its status were discussed. Two public notices were approved for hearings on two development grants. AFLAC was approved as the Cafeteria Plan administrator. Blue Cross was selected as the county's health insurer for another year. The Board voted to pay the interest due on the MDCIIC "community bank" loan from the capital fund. A public hearing was held on the new FEMA flood maps.
