Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board discussed dilapidated property owned by Carter Gaston. The lawsuit brought by Larry "Blue" Neal was discussed, and the Board voted to rescind its earlier agreement to pay Mr. Neal until the Board Attorney could look into the matter further. Susan Montgomery presented a proposal for the Board to purchase advertising in the newspaper. A discussion of the Three Rivers Economic Development Corporation and its management of the County-owned Business Incubator project took place. Appointments to various board were made. The Board heard Robert Fitzpatrick's request for two additional guards for the Juvenile Detention Facility. Various department supervisors and duties were discussed and approved.
