Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board open depository bids. Other bids for county equipment were discussed. Angela Curry presented a report as Executive Director of the Industrial Board. An agreement regarding sharing of the airport fire engine with the city of Greenwood was approved. Thomas Gregory brought forward proposals regarding maintenance of the Old Library building. Prison consultant Ed Hargett made a presentation and requested renewal of his contract. The leaf and yard waste program were discussed. The Engineer's Report included discussion of the Viking Range Road Project. Approval was granted to advertise for tandem trailer dump trucks.
