The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

A discussion took place regarding TIF issues relating to Cannon Motors. The Board voted to reject all bids for the Viking Connector Road project, based upon the recommendation of the County Engineer, due to lack of funding to complete the project as bid. This effectively kills the 10 year long planned project.
