Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard from Judge Sanders relating to the employment of Ms. Jessie Williams. Fred Randle presented a resolution requesting Governor Phil Bryant to declare an emergency due to the flooding. The Board voted to renew a healthcare agreement for the county jail. The Board accepted Otis Abron's retirement request. The Grand Jury inspection report was discussed. The Board took joint possession of the old MDOC Technical Violation Center. Several items were approved during the Road Manager's report.
