Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board opened bids for agricultural properties. Judge W. M. Sanders appeared to discuss the hiring of Jessie Williams full time. The Board heard a legislative update from State Senator David Jordan. A discussion about the Jodie Wilson Library took place. The Juneteenth Celebration in Itta Bena was discussed. A special prosecutor for a case in Justice Court was approved. Ruben Hughes was recognized as owner of WGNL Radio. The Board went into executive session to discuss how to collect the overdue garbage collection fees.
