Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The Council held its regular monthly meeting. Hank Hargrove was approved to replace Sammy Foster on the Hospital Board of Trustees. Pauline White appeared to discuss how long it takes to clean up dilapidated properties. Mr. Raynor Randle appeared to discuss problems with flooding and drainage at his home. Two donations were approved. The Council approved Stroudwater Associates to review the current operating conditions of the Hospital.
