Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard from Beulah Greer regarding the Community Students Learning Center. John Wiggers discussed two grant possibilities. Perleshine Ross was scheduled to discuss flooding issues around her home. The contract between Leflore County and Pafford Ambulance Service is up for renewal. An update on Senate Bill 2719 was presented. The contracts for the Emmett Till statue were brought forward for approval. The disposing of the unclaimed body of Milda J. Watkins was approved. New hires were approved for the road department.
