The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard a proposal to establish a Quiver River Watershed Council. Robert Ingram presented information about a marketing plan for industrial development. Mr. Jerry Carter from the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks requested assistance with the department's new parking lot. Mr. Jesse Taylor presented matters pertaining to employees at the Juvenile Detention Facility. T. W. Cooper presented matters relating to Homeland Security grants. The Board went into executive session to discuss litigation and personnel matters. The Board voted to renew all county appointments at the same pay.
