The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard a complaint from a taxpayer regarding the classification of his property. Marsh Pickett presented a request for a donation to help fund a memorial to Sgt John A. Pittman, a local Congressional Medal of Honor Winner from World War II, after whom a new street has just been named.
