The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

Bids were opened for six storm shelters. CMI made a presentation concerning the renewal of its lease of part of a county building. Anjuan Brown and two staff members of Life Help made an informational presentation. An easement was granted to the city of Greenwood to lay some pipelines from the city waste water treatment facility to the river. StaplCotn's tax exemption was finally granted. The contracts with CCA for housing of prisoners was extended through July 31. A dispute with the county judge over an employee's status was referred to Mr. Perkins for more research. A dispute with Roy Collins Construction about final payment for the incubator project was discussed.
