The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard an objection from Vernon Ricks as to the amount of the assessment of his property and tabled the matter to give Mr. Ware time to research the matter. The Board heard a presentation from Bardin Redditt, Airport Manager, regarding a grant for improvements. The Board heard a report from Edward Course, Election Commission Chairman, regarding the upcoming special election to fill the southern district Justice Court position vacated by Blue Neal last spring. The Board discussed whether to accept the new touch screen voting machines selected by the Secretary of State.
