The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The Council received the petition against the $3.5 million bond issue. The City Clerk will report back whether the petition is sufficient to require an election. The City heard a presentation from Municipal Judge James Littleton, who defended his tenure as judge. A presentation was heard regarding a grant to help repair the old library building. A presentation was made regarding the foul odor coming the city's sewage lagoon.
