The Board received bids for stage curtains for the Civic Center and other more routine purchases. The Board took up various resolutions relating to the Juvenile Detention Facility. The Board determined to call a hearing relating to the closure of County Roads 22 and 554. The Board went into Executive Session to discuss personnel matters, a suit filed by John Richards Collection over disputed property taxes, and the Gold Kist Open Meetings Act lawsuit. In order to terminate that lawsuit, Mr. Wolfe moved that the Board correct its minutes for the November 14, 1995 meeting by striking the false board order contained therein which was never actually approved by the Board. His motion died for lack of a second. Board Attorney Willie Perkins indicated that the county would appeal the Court's decision to the Supreme Court.
