Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard proposals for the Rehabilitation Inspectors. A presentation from Adam Johnson on the widening of Highway 49 South was received. Emergency Management Director T. W. Cooper brought matters relating to vehicles, sirens, and emergency generators to the Board's attention. A decision to dispatch emergency and fire volunteers from the Sheriff's office was taken. Appointments were made to the Business Incubator board. An order was adopted to correct the Board Minutes for a previous meeting. The deadline for filing suit regarding the transfer of ownership of the landfill contract was discussed.
