The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board opened bids for fuel and accepted a bid for liquid asphalt. The Board heard a presentation from Granville Jordan, Airport Board chairman, relating to the need for matching funds for a grant to make airport improvements. Steve Russell made several requests for the CDBG grants relating to the Wildwood Gin and Viking Dishwashing projects. Andrew McQueen presented a proposal to add a floor to the Agricenter. The Board spent an extended period of time in Executive Session to discuss possible litigation over the landfill contract. No action was taken on the matter.
