Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board opened bids for a new HAZMAT Reponse vehicle. A public hearing was held on the closing of County Road 285. A bid was accepted for an Incident Command/Communications Trailer. The Board heard a presentation from Josh Brown on the Home Grant. The Board approved the closeout of the Wildwood Gin project. A hearing was held on a dilapidated property issue. MVSU-CDC requested a rezoning of property near Itta Bena. The Board voted to submit the election to raise sales tax to the Justice Department for pre-clearance. Mr. Wolfe cast the lone dissent.
