The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board received bids for fuel. Beth Henderson made a report from the Chamber of Commerce. The Board approved a new burn ordinance after a presentation from Gary Fulgham, the Volunteer Fire Coodinator. Dean Pennington delivered a presentation on the Yazoo Mississippi Delta Joint Water Management Board Project. The Board deferred action on a request by the Election Commission to hire a person to program the new electronic voting machines. Sheriff Ricky Banks presented information on upgrading the E911 equipment. Several lease contracts for county property were approved. Appointments were made to the Crime Stoppers Board. The Board heard a matter from Buford Jones, a Sheriff's Department employee. The Board considered the matter in closed session but decided not to go into executive session until it could receive a report from the attorney.
