The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The Council heard the Engineer's discussion of change orders on the Park Avenue project and the Wastewater Treatment project. The regular monthly Dilapidated Housing Hearing was conducted. Several routine maintenance contracts were approved. A front line pumper was purchased for the Fire Department. Several Airport Board resolutions were approved. The Council approved a grant agreement for $150,628 to make improvements on the Milwaukee Tool property.
