The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board held several public hearings on dilapidated properties. The 2007 property tax rolls were approved. Chamber of Commerce director Beth Henderson presented budget requests for next year. The Board voted to change the name of Ione Street to Broadcast Drive.
