The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The Council held its monthly hearing on dilapidated properties. It heard a request from Anglean Wardell to pay for infrastructure in her proposed subdivision. Three trucks for the Public Works Department were purchased. A change-order for Malouf Construction was approved for the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Pumping Station Upgrade project.
