The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard presentations from Main Street, the July 4th Chamber project, and the Leflore Illustrated magazine requesting funding or advertising in the upcoming months. The Board approved the preliminary statement for the $4 million bond issue for roads and equipment. The new assessment schedule for trailers was accepted. An amendment to the MDCIIC community bank agreement was approved. A junk car ordinance was discussed. The 2008 official county road maps were accepted.
