The Greenwood-Leflore Airport Board is the governing authority for the Greenwood-Leflore Airport. The Airport is jointly owned by Leflore County and the City of Greenwood. Ironically, the Airport is located outside Leflore County, across the border in Carroll County.

The Airport Board met with the City Council and Board of Supervisors to discuss several issues of concern. The issue of the selection of a consultant to direct the new control tower project was thoroughly aired. Mr. Vernon Ricks presented some of his concerns relating to the Board's attempt to move his hanger to a new location to satisfy GE's desires for his space. Mr. Abraham brought up the filing of a deed without the Board of Supervisors' approval.
