The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board opened bids for the county depository. A grant application for a Nature Trail was considered. A proposed lease of a building by the County from the Industrial Foundation was tabled. Various equipment purchases were approved. Approval to hire Mr. Otis Abron, a former supervisor, to work with the Sheriff was granted. Board President Wayne Self administered the oath of office to the Election Commission members.
