The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board handled bids for renovation of the Old Library building. A discussion took place regarding the permits for the solid waste facility. The Board voted to borrow the money needed to repair the parking lots at the Civic Center. Airport Board Chairman Elizabeth Evans addressed the Board about the dispute with Vernon Ricks over his lease on the airport.
