The Council held its monthly hearing on dilapidated properties. An ordinance increasing the council clerk's pay from $2400 per year to $28,000 per year was approved, with Mr. Jennings and Mrs. Cookston voting against the measure. Several grants for the police department were accepted. The Council approved several department head appointments made by the mayor.
