Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The Council held its regular hearing on dilapidated housing. A long list of appointments and reappointments to various city boards was approved. A new police department hiring and promotion policy was adopted. Several contracts were approved on behalf of the Airport Board. The Council voted to provide free flu shots to the city employees.
