The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board approved a resolution honoring Marsh Pickett, WWII veteran and recent French Legion of Honor designee. The Board took up the option of Balkamp to purchase the building that they had been leasing for many years. Several matters relating to the Home Grant were handled. Resolutions were adopted to move forward with the $2.3 million dollar bond issue for road and bridge repairs. An agreement was approved relating to the recycle grant and the city of Greenwood. The Board voted to recess until March 22nd.
