The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board "equalized" the property tax rolls and opened them for appeal and correction. A presentation was made concerning upcoming redistricting of the county after the census is complete. The Board approved allowing the filming of a motion picture using the courthouse. A Waste Tire Grant application was authorized. Playground equipment for the park in Schlater was again discussed. The State Auditor was engaged regarding the 2009 audit of the county funds. Several advertisements for bids were authorized.
