The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

A long discussion took place over competing proposals for the county's health insurance coverage. A decision was deferred to a special Wednesday meeting. More money was appropriated to be given to the Browning Progressive Civic League to pay rent and utilities for the Browning Park. The Board took up engineering proposals, matters brought by NCPDD, emergency management issues, and grants for the Sheriff's department. A discussion also took place regarding the dilapidated Delta Apartments and whether the county should consider purchasing them from HUD.
