The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board opened bids for paving commodities. Tax exemptions for Milwaukee Tool and Delta Oil Mill were approved. Various persons came before the Board to ask for money in the upcoming budget. T. W. Cooper described a new county-wide public alert system. The Board went into Executive Session to discuss the Balkamp litigation. A resolution honoring civil rights workers was approved. The East Leflore Water System was discussed. Keith Peeples was appointed to the Civic Center board. The 2012 Budget was discussed.
