The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board received the hospital budget but refused to approve it by a vote of 2 to 2. The Board approved that the Tax Collector be allowed to collect city and school taxes as well. The Board attempted to go into executive session to discuss DHS personnel matters, but failed to achieve a majority vote.
