The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board approved personnel matters relating to the civic center. It instructed Joyce Chiles to determine whether Vonzell Self is entitled to representation in the pending criminal complaint for assault filed against him by investigators for Dr. Smith's legal team. T. W. Cooper, Director of Emergency Management, presented several matters, including an application for a siren grant. The Board went into executive session to discuss the ADA federal lawsuit filed against it by Darla Jones. The Board voted to authorize the attorney to settle the case.
