The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard objections to the tax rolls. A dispute regarding the valuation increase on certain farm land was entertained. A resolution approving the Tax Increment Financing program was approved. Ed Hargett, Adult Detention Facility consultant, gave his quarterly report. The Board approved a $15,000 grant to the Leflore County Health Clinic. Eleven warning sirens were purchased for $256480 from Federal Signal.
