The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board reviewed the budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The Tax Increment Financing Plan hearing for The Landing Retail Project was held and the plan approved. Buddy White presented information on the county's insurance policies. Presentations were made by several candidates for Emergency Management Director. The Board chose Troy Brown to fill the position. Mike Slaughter presented the new redistricting plan. The County Engineer brought a purchase of land for the proposed Viking connector road.
