The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board discussed the county landfill. The Coburn Company DIP and CAP applications were approved. Troy Brown presented matters from the Emergency Preparedness department. The sorry state of the old Florewood Plantation was discussed. Equipment for the Court Reporter was purchased. The Board accepted the gift of the old Bank of Commerce building at 401 Main Street. The Board declined to approve the docket of claims on a two to two tie vote.
