Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board decided to purchase an easement from Steve Scott for the new connector road at a higher price than first offered. Phil Wolfe voted against the purchase. Dale Persons appeared to discuss his outreach work on the new Voter ID project. Jail consultant Ed Hargett appeared to discuss his quarterly report to the Board. The Board voted to fire Judicial Correctional Services as the county's delinquent fine collecter, although the effect of the Board's action is in question. Concerns were expressed about the company's tacking on of additional charges for delinquent accounts.
