Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

Alonzo Evans discussed his concern that his bid for the HOME project was not being awarded to him even though he stated he was the low bidder. Maxine Williams brought a complaint against what she claimed was police misconduct during the course of her recent arrest. She was told she needed to file a formal complaint so that it could be investigated.
