Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The Council heard a presentation from Thomas Gregory of the new proposed Development Code. Several citizens made presentations to the council. Several matters relating to utilities and telecommunications leases were approved. Two Bond Issues were approved, one to finance the Landing Zone project, and a $3 million bond issue to repair the city police station on Main Street.
