The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board met to organize for the new year. Mr. Anjuan Brown was elected president, and Phil Wolfe vice-president. Mr. Wolfe announced his retirement from the board at the end of this year when his term will expire. The board heard, and rejected, a request to build a bridge on County Road 371. Several resolutions were approved regarding the sale of the peanut processing plant to Texcoma.
