Mark Garriga, attorney for Carolyn McAdams, asked the court to enter a verdict in favor of his client, on the basis that Sheriel Perkins had not proven enough illegal votes were cast to alter the outcome of the election.
Willie Perkins argued that the number of illegal votes cast in Wards 1 and 2, combined with the 52 illegal absentee ballots that had been cast, was more than enough to alter the outcome of the election.
Judge Henry Lackey ruled in favor of Carolyn McAdams and rendered a verdict in favor of the defendant. He then dismissed the jury and thanked them for their service.
