The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board voted to table a resolution to pay $35,000 for its share of repairs on the old Greenwood city library building. The Board voted to spend $1.5 million for its share of the cost of building the Viking Bypass roadway. The Board adopted a resolution honoring John A. James, a well-known faculty member at MVSU who passed away last week.
