The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board of Supervisors heard from the medical staff of the Greenwood Leflore Hospital regarding its concerns about hospital trustees who refused to meet with or consult with the medical staff about matters related to patient care and the future of the hospital. The physicians requested that the Board remove Nick Chandler from the Hospital Board of Trustees, but the Supervisors refused to do so.
