The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board held its final meeting for 2017. A presentation relating to drone research at MSU was given. A proposal to purchase the county livestock property was discussed. A new scheme to collect unpaid fines was presented. Tony Ellis appeared before the board to discuss problems with his building permit.
